Poland assistant national team coach, Jacek Magiera, has died at the age of 49.
Magiera, a former Poland U20 manager, had served as assistant coach of the senior national team since July 2025. His death has drawn reactions from across Poland and other parts of Europe.
Reports said he collapsed on Friday morning while out for a run before his death was confirmed.
Tributes have continued to pour in following the news, including from Aston Villa defender Matty Cash, who represents Poland at international level.
Cash wrote on social media: “Jacek, you were such an amazing guy, always with a smile. You will be missed dearly. RIP Legend.”
