The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that candidates who passed the 2025 Zonal General Aptitude Test have been shortlisted for the next stage of recruitment into the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025.

The Selection Board Interview will take place at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna between April 27 and June 13, 2026. Ejodame explained that the interview is for both trades and non-trade applicants, adding that attendance is strictly based on batch schedules assigned to each candidate.

The Air Force warned that failure to comply with the designated schedule would result in disqualification. “All shortlisted candidates are required to report strictly in accordance with their assigned batch schedule. Candidates who fail to report on their designated dates will forfeit the opportunity to participate in the Selection Board Interview,” the statement read.

NAF also emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge. Applicants were cautioned against making payments at any stage of the exercise. “The Nigerian Air Force wishes to emphasise that the entire recruitment process is completely free of charge, and candidates are strongly advised not to make any payment at any stage of the exercise,” Ejodame stated.

The announcement follows the Zonal General Aptitude Test conducted on December 5, 2025, across 15 Air Force bases nationwide. More than 20,000 applicants participated in the test, which was held in Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu‑Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.

Ejodame noted that the aptitude test was designed to ensure inclusiveness and equal opportunity for candidates across the country. He stressed that the recruitment process is guided by fairness, integrity, and strict adherence to established standards.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains firmly committed to recruiting the best candidates by merit, as the quality of our personnel is fundamental to operational effectiveness and the successful execution of our constitutional mandate,” he said.

The BMTC program is a key entry point for tradesmen and women, as well as non‑trades personnel, into the Air Force. Successful candidates from the Selection Board Interview will proceed to training, where they will undergo military and professional instruction to prepare them for service.

By reaffirming its commitment to transparency and merit‑based recruitment, the Nigerian Air Force aims to strengthen public confidence in its processes while ensuring that only qualified candidates advance to the next stage.

This rewritten version highlights the essential facts: the interview schedule, venue, eligibility, warnings against fraud, and the broader context of the aptitude test and recruitment process. It maintains a professional and neutral tone while presenting the information clearly and concisely.
