Nupe losses traditional leader, Gov Bago mourns

The Niger state governor, Umaru Bago, has sent a heart warming condolence to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of traditional rulers, Yahaya Abubakar, as the kingdom losses one of its referred traditional leader, Alhaji Mahmud Abubakar the Sonfada Etsu Nupe.

 

This was disclosed in a press statement signed on Monday by Bologi Ibrahim, the chief press secretary to the governor.

 

“Farmer Bago also extends his commiserations to the entire Bida Emirate and the immediate family of the deceased and prays that Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him entry into Aljannat Firdausi.”

“He prays that the immediate family of late Alh. Mahmud will continue to be steadfast in praying for the repose of his soul even as he urges them to emulate his good deeds in serving humanity,” Ibrahim wrote.

 

The governor also acknowledged the efforts of the late Sonfada in the development of the Nupe kingdom and across Niger state stating his legacies will be remembered.
