The Federal Government has filed a 13-count charge before an Abuja Federal High Court against individuals alleged to have plotted an undemocratic removal of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Those charged include two retired senior military officers, a serving police officer and three others.
The charges border around alleged treason, terrorism and an attempt to undermine the Nigeria’s constitutional order.
The alleged plot first came to public attention in October 2025, following the Federal Government’s sudden cancellation of the planned 65th Independence Day parade.
