The Federal Government has dismissed claims of lopsidedness in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, insisting that projects, appointments, and opportunities are being equitably shared across all six geopolitical zones.

In a statement on Sunday, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said Tinubu has shown “uncommon commitment” to fairness and inclusivity, citing multitrillion-naira infrastructure projects in both the North and South.

According to Idris, the Northwest has so far received the largest share of project approvals at ₦5.97 trillion, followed by the South-South with ₦2.41 trillion, while the South East got ₦407 billion. Major roads, rail projects, bridges, and health facilities are under construction nationwide, alongside power and gas initiatives like the Kaduna Power Plant and AKK Gas Project.

He added that Tinubu’s appointments reflect competence and inclusivity, stressing that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes unity and balanced development.

“President Tinubu is building national infrastructure, not local trophies. No part of the country will be left behind,” Idris assured.
