At least three farmers have been killed and another injured in separate attacks in Larkas and Kodahas villages of Panyam District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association (MDA), Bulus Dabit, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that the killings occurred in two separate attacks between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

According to him, the victims were attacked while working on their farmlands, sparking renewed tension in the troubled communities.

“We received with shock the killing of our people in Larkas and Kodahas. This is unfortunate and we are calling on the government and security agencies to rise up to their responsibility and protect innocent farmers,” Dabit said.

The incident comes amid repeated attacks in Mangu and other parts of Plateau State, raising concerns over insecurity in rural communities.
