Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has confirmed that he was invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the recent attack on his convoy in Kebbi State.
In a statement on Tuesday, Malami said the invitation was connected to a petition allegedly filed by opposition political figures in the state following the September 1, 2025, incident.
He commended the DSS for the “professional and transparent manner” in which the inquiry was conducted, noting that he was treated with dignity and respect throughout the process.
“I remain committed to cooperating fully with the Department to ensure that their investigation is concluded successfully,” Malami added.
The attack on Malami’s convoy had sparked political tension in Kebbi, with calls for security agencies to bring perpetrators to justice.
