Outspoken Plateau State Christian cleric, Rev. Dachomo, has alleged that terrorists have placed a bounty on his head following his public comments on the reported killings of Christians.
Speaking in a recent interview with media personality , Rev. Dachomo said he received information from a source that plans had been concluded to reward anyone who kills him. According to him, the threat is a direct response to his outspoken stance against what he described as the massacre of Christians.
Despite the alleged threat, the cleric said he is not afraid of death and continues to move around without any form of security. He claimed that even while passing through Muslim-dominated areas, people point him out openly.
“They have put a bounty on my head. They said anyone that kills me first will be rewarded. I’m not afraid of death. I walk past the territory of Muslims and they usually point at me,” he said.
Dachomo also alleged that his outspokenness has affected his family, particularly his children. He claimed that his children are being denied admission into universities in northern Nigeria because of his name and public stance.
“If my children look for admission in the university, when they see the name Ezekiel Dachomo, they will remove it,” he added.
The cleric’s claims have sparked concern and renewed conversations around religious tensions, freedom of expression, and personal safety in parts of the country.
