President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the military, police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) to track down and arrest terrorists responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State.
The President also ordered the immediate rescue of women and children abducted during the attack, which he strongly condemned. The assailants are suspected to be terrorists fleeing Sokoto and Zamfara states following a United States air strike on Christmas Eve.
President Tinubu expressed condolences to the families of the victims and assured the people of Niger State that security agencies have been instructed to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, especially forest areas used as criminal hideouts.
He urged Nigerians to remain united and avoid divisive rhetoric, stressing that those behind the attack and their collaborators will be brought to justice.
