A Lagos-based father, Samuel Alozie, popularly known as Promise Samuel on TikTok, has called for justice following the death of his nine-month-old identical twin sons, Testimony and Timothy, who reportedly died about 24 hours after receiving routine immunisation at the Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The incident drew widespread attention on Wednesday after Alozie shared a video on TikTok that showed the bodies of his sons placed in separate body bags. The video carried a caption which read in part, “This is the result of the immunisation… they killed my twin boys with injections.”
In another video posted on Thursday via his TikTok account, promise.samuel099, the distraught father narrated how the events unfolded. He said he took the twins to the health facility on the morning of December 24, 2025, for what he described as a routine immunisation exercise.
According to Alozie, the babies became severely weak shortly after the injections. He said they could no longer eat, play, or behave normally. He added that the nurse advised him to give them paracetamol if their temperature increased.
He said, “It happened that the immunisation was conducted on the 24th of December, in the morning. And on the morning of 25th December, they died. On that 24th, after the injection, they were very weak, and I gave them paracetamol because the nurse said that if the temperature continued, I should give them paracetamol.”
The father explained that both he and his wife followed the nurse’s instructions after returning home. He said they administered paracetamol and also bathed the twins in an attempt to reduce their body temperature. Despite these efforts, the babies died on Christmas Day.
He said, “I, and my wife, after we left the health centre, went home and gave the two of them paracetamol, which didn’t solve anything. We even bathed them. My wife bathed them in cold water. They died on the 25th. The two of them died at the same time. And the worst part of it is the drug weakened two of them to the extent they can’t talk, they can’t eat, they can’t play as usual, like they can’t disturb as they used to do.”
Alozie accused staff of the primary health centre of possible negligence. He alleged that the children might have received expired vaccines, fake drugs, or an overdose.
He said, “Government have killed my children. The Nigerian government… My twins, my nine-month-old children; they have killed them with their fake injection and fake vaccine.”
He also warned parents to be cautious during immunisation visits. He said, “Before you go for immunisation, try to know what they are giving to your child, because I guess maybe this is an overdose, or it is fake drugs. Because you can’t tell me that my child who are not sick, strong and sound, and then going to immunisation and coming back, they are dead.”
The grieving father stressed that his children had no serious health issues before the visit to the clinic. He said, “Since when I born my pikin, the highest sickness so far is maybe they get fever or something that maybe I’ll just give them paracetamol, and everything will calm down. My children are strong like me.”
He expressed confusion and anguish over the loss. He said, “I’m just confused. How can I lose two children, identical twins that I have suffered so much for? Just nine months, they are not sick, just because I decided to fulfil the righteousness of taking them to immunisation… From the first day I gave birth to them, I’ve been taking them to immunisation.”
Alozie further alleged that the nurse who attended to the twins on that day was not the usual health worker assigned to them. He claimed that the nurse also gave the infants deworming tablets without informing him or seeking his consent.
He said, “The funny part of this is that the woman that have been giving us injections is not the woman who gave us the injection that day. Another face.”
Questioning the nurse’s action, he added, “You gave them worm medicine, and you didn’t ask me, and you didn’t even tell me that you are giving them worm medicine to deworm them. Did I tell you that my children are having worm problem?”
The father also dismissed explanations allegedly offered by the health centre that linked the deaths to food-related bacteria.
He said, “The nurse is talking about bacteria, food bacteria. She said that it is food bacteria that killed my children. How can food bacteria kill a child? Food that I’ve been giving them from one month to nine months, the food didn’t kill them.”
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board had not issued an official statement on the matter or on the outcome of the autopsy reportedly conducted on the children.
Alozie, however, expressed fear that the findings might be influenced to shield the health facility. He described the situation as “government to government” and appealed for legal assistance.
He said, “Please, if you’re a lawyer, a human rights lawyer, please help me. I don’t have a lawyer, and you know government issue. If you don’t have anybody, you will not get a better result.”
He also said, “Although the autopsy has been conducted already, but I’m scared… I know that they will manipulate this result… but God will punish any doctor, any nurse who will manipulate this result.”
Despite the burial of his children, the father insisted that he would continue to seek justice.
He said, “People should help me. I need justice for these children… I don’t have anybody except God, but I know that God will bring justice to them.”
