Former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has been re-arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) just after leaving Kuje Prison.
Malami, along with his wife and son, had recently been granted ₦500 million bail each with two sureties by a Federal High Court.
Despite meeting all bail conditions, he was taken back into custody as the DSS investigates him further.
The move comes after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly found arms at his Kebbi home. Malami had earlier raised concerns that the DSS was monitoring him and might re-arrest him.
This latest development underscores ongoing legal challenges facing the former AGF as he navigates new investigations by Nigeria’s security agencies.
