The M. Gur Foundation has organized a three-day Muhadara and Quran Recitation (Musaffa) in Biu, Borno State, under the patronage of the foundation’s chairman, Alhaji Mamman Ibrahim Gur, Dokin Karfe TV reported.

The week before the commencement of the recitation, Alhaji Muri Gur visited the palace of His Majesty the Emir of Biu along with senior scholars to greet and seek the Emir’s blessings on the recitation to be held in the town.
The event was attended by senior scholars and scholars from different parts of the country. Among the prominent scholars who delivered the sermons were:
Dr. Abdurrahman Sani Yakubu (Zaria), who delivered the Friday sermon at the Al-Kitabu wa Sunnah Mosque, Nasarawo Area.
Dr. Umar Dokaji, who delivered the Friday sermon at the Abu Huraira Mosque (Saifuddaulah Mosque), Tashan Dan Fulani Area.
Sheikh Abubakar Waziri, who delivered the Friday sermon at the Al-Kitabu wa Sunnah Mosque (Sheikh Ibrahim Ntoddi Mosque), Tashan Gandu Area.
After the Friday prayers, the participants proceeded to the Biu cemetery to visit the women and pray for them.
On Friday night, the sermon continued at the Grand Mosque at the entrance to the Biu Emir’s Palace, where senior scholars and imams delivered recitations.
Also, on Saturday morning, a special recitation for women was held at the Darul Hadith Galdimare Mosque, where guest scholars presented various recitations.
On Saturday night, Dr. Alqali Abubakar Salihu (Zaria) delivered a recitation at the Al-Kitabu wa Sunnah Mosque in Biu.
The event was also attended by prominent Quran reciters, including:
Goni Musa Ahmad (Maiduguri), the national champion in the recitation of the Quran.
Goni Hamid Musa Zakariya, who represented Nigeria at the World Cup held in Morocco.
Goni Muhammad Musa Zakariya and other eminent personalities.
The seminar was held from Friday to Sunday, with each session concluding with a special prayer for Biu, Borno State, and Nigeria as a whole.
The organizers of the seminar stated that all activities were carried out under the auspices of the M. Gur Foundation, which is under the special patronage of Alhaji Mamman Ibrahim Gur, with the hope that such seminars will continue to strengthen education and morals among the community.
