Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condemned the conduct of some youths who forcefully entered the Government House during an event organised to receive him into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor expressed his displeasure during a meeting with APC leaders and senior government officials. He described the incident as disturbing and unacceptable.

Yusuf warned that such actions could tarnish Kano’s long-established image as a state associated with peace, discipline, and order.

Accounts from the event revealed that hundreds of youths were present within the Government House premises. Reports stated that the youths followed a political figure into the venue.

There were allegations that some of them carried dangerous weapons, while others openly used hard drugs. Some were also reported to have shouted provocative slogans and demanded the removal of the deputy governor.

During the meeting, the governor’s Special Adviser, Muhammad Jamu, raised serious concerns over the incident. He described the situation as dangerous and unacceptable.

Jamu cautioned that the presence of armed youths at political or government functions poses a major risk to public safety and democratic principles. He added that such conduct must not be allowed under any circumstances.
