Nollywood actress has publicly called out her colleague, , over an alleged claim that she is living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
The controversy began after Evans’ name reportedly appeared on a list of Nollywood stars allegedly discussed by Ekene in a conversation with a UK-based Nigerian nurse, Adanma Waller.
Reacting in a video shared on her Instagram page, Evans expressed shock and demanded clarification from Ekene.
“There’s something I saw on social media right now. My name is on a list; they said Evans Okoro is carrying something in her body that people find hard to talk about.
“Ekene Umenwa, did you add me to your list? Is that what you said, or is the devil trying to use this to bring me down? I defended you. I said let’s hear Ekene’s side of the story, but seeing my name there as someone they claim is carrying HIV…
“Ekene, if that’s what you said, may God judge you and your whole generation — your father, your mother, your husband. But if that’s not what you said, may God judge those who fabricated this lie and their generation, because my mother is crying right now,” she stated.
This development follows a separate controversy involving , who previously accused Ekene of alleging that she assaulted her own mother.
