Grammy-winning Nigerian star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, says he wants Asake to perform at his wedding.
Wizkid made the revelation during a recent Apple Music radio appearance with Asake and DJ Tunez. He said Asake’s breakout hit Omo Ope instantly made him a fan, but his personal favourite is Remember, adding that he wants the song performed at his wedding ceremony.
He described Asake as one of the most talented vocalists in Africa and the world, praising the singer’s unique voice and impact on contemporary African music. Wizkid said he has repeatedly told Asake how special he is and considers him a blessing to the industry.
Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P. The couple share three children — two boys and a girl. The Starboy boss has been hinting at marriage for years, with fans still anticipating the big day.
