Local intelligence sources have confirmed the killing of notorious bandit leader Najaja, who took interim control of Halilu Sububu’s criminal network following Sububu’s death.
Najaja was reportedly slain by another bandit commander, identified as Mati — the younger brother of the late Halilu Sububu. Sources say the two had been locked in a violent battle for supremacy over the gang’s operations.
Security analysts warn that the killing could spark fresh waves of violence as rival factions within the group jostle for dominance in the wake of the power shift.
