Residents of Jeri community were left in distress after bandits carried out a prolonged house-to-house attack, stealing valuables worth millions of naira.
The incident occurred in Kusada Local Government Area, where the attackers reportedly operated for nearly two hours without interruption.
According to security analyst Bakatsine, the assailants moved from one house to another, looting mobile phones, cash, and cattle belonging to residents.
“Bandits carried out a house-to-house raid in Jeri community, Kusada LGA of Katsina State, operating for nearly two hours,” he revealed.
Despite the scale of the attack, no deaths or abductions were reported. However, the incident has heightened concerns about security in Katsina State, especially following recent efforts to restore peace in affected areas.
The attack comes just weeks after a reported peace deal with bandits in Kankia Local Government Area, raising questions about the effectiveness of such agreements in curbing insecurity.
