British actor Jonathan Bailey has been crowned People Magazine’s 2025 “Sexiest Man Alive.”
Bailey, who gained global fame for his breakout role as Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, has since transitioned into major film roles. He has starred in blockbusters such as Jurassic World Rebirth, Wicked, and its upcoming sequel Wicked: For Good.
Reacting to the recognition, the openly gay actor expressed both gratitude and disbelief. “It’s a huge honor. Obviously, I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd,” Bailey told People. “I’m quite excited for some friends and family to find out.”
Originally from Oxfordshire, England, Bailey began acting as a child and built a strong reputation in theater before finding worldwide success on screen. He has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in several acclaimed West End productions.
