Create that Change Development Initiative (CCDI) has launched ‘Start Smart September 2.0’, its yearly flagship back-to-school programme, providing full educational support to 51 primary school pupils across five schools in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State.
The beneficiary schools include:
- Local Government Education Authority Primary School Tilden Fulani, Rugan Auta.
- Local Government Education Authority Primary School Aso Pada
- Local Government Education Authority Primary School Aso B
- Local Government Education Authority Primary School Rugan Madaki
- Local Government Education Authority Primary School Tundun Wada

Each child received a comprehensive back-to-school package, consisting of a school bag, school uniform, sportswear, sandals, sports shoes, stationery, water bottle, and payment of PTA fees for the full academic year.
Speaking at the schools, Mrs. Sharon Ayeni, Executive Director of CCDI, emphasized the importance of inclusive education:
“We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to be in school, regardless of their financial background. Our Start Smart September Initiative is a vital step in ensuring that out-of-school children return to the classroom and those already in school are retained. We are deeply grateful to our partners and donors whose support makes this initiative possible.”
The village head of Aso B, Chief Danladi Kwabuzhi, was deeply appreciative and bestowed blessings on the organization, while the Head teacher from LGEA Primary School Tudun Wada, commended the efforts of CCDI saying “I have never seen an NGO like this before… one that makes promises and carried out to the latter”. She labeled the organization “Talk and do” organization.
