The FCT High Court sitting in Life Camp, Abuja, has postponed the trial of Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck over an alleged assault case. The new trial date has been fixed for April 8, 2026.
The rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, is facing a civil suit over claims of assault and battery.
During the court session, the claimant’s lawyer, Uchenna Ojembe, and the defendant’s lawyer, Taiwo Akinsulie, were present and ready to proceed. However, the case was adjourned because of ongoing renovation work in the courtroom.
Both legal teams agreed on the new date to allow the case to begin properly.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the lawsuit was filed by another Nigerian musician, Kraziecent, whose real name is Ogbogiri Okey Levi.
Kraziecent alleged that in December 2024, during a public event, he was peacefully taking pictures and recording videos when Odumodublvck suddenly assaulted him without any reason.
He claimed that the alleged attack caused him emotional distress and that his iPhone 15 Pro Max was deliberately damaged during the incident.
In his suit, Kraziecent is asking the court to order the rapper to pay for his medical expenses. He is also seeking N2 billion in damages.
In addition, he wants the court to compel Odumodublvck to issue a public apology through all his social media platforms and in two national newspapers, among other demands listed in the case.
