Dangote Refinery has announced a major reduction in its ex-depot petrol price as competition intensifies with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and independent filling stations nationwide.
According to data from Petroleumpriceng on Friday, the refinery slashed its ex-depot price from ₦828 to ₦699 per litre, marking a ₦129 drop — a 15.58% reduction.
This latest cut is the refinery’s 20th price review in 2025, coming just before the Christmas and New Year season when fuel demand typically rises.
The new price follows recent reductions by NNPC and other marketers, which have brought the pump price to between ₦915 and ₦937 per litre in Abuja.
Dangote’s latest adjustment is expected to influence retail prices nationwide as competition heightens in the petroleum market.
