The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has slammed Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ijekwu, better known as Sabinus, over a poster depicting him as wanted.
A post showing that the skitmaker had been declared wanted by the agency went viral.
Reacting to it on Twitter, the commission called him a clout chaser and told him to stop now.
“Clout chaser, stop this now!”

The act of clout chasing is akin to persons seeking fame or media attention through diverse means, including via negative publicity. Clout chasing is the desperate or opportunistic pursuit of fame, influence, or social media attention, often by associating with, mimicking, or creating conflict with popular, famous, or trending individuals.
It is a derogatory term used to describe someone seeking validation or notoriety rather than a genuine connection, often through staged drama, fake associations, or exaggerated content.
