Fenerbahce president Sadettin Saran was involved in a car accident on Tuesday morning while traveling to the Chobani Stadium in Kadikoy. The incident caused significant damage to his vehicle, but fortunately left all parties with only minor injuries.
Saran was a passenger in a BMW when the collision occurred. Images from the scene showed the front of the car heavily damaged, with the bonnet crushed. The other vehicle involved sustained bumper damage. Despite the severity of the impact, neither Saran nor his driver suffered serious harm. Both men were treated for cuts and bruises, and medical assessments later confirmed they were in good condition.
Reports indicated that Saran continued with his schedule shortly after the accident. He arrived at the stadium to attend executive meetings as planned, demonstrating resilience in the face of the incident. The club quickly stated to reassure supporters, confirming that Saran, his driver, and the occupants of the other vehicle were all in good health.
Fenerbahce emphasized that the accident had not disrupted the president’s duties. “Our President, Sadettin Saran, was involved in a traffic accident today while arriving at our club. It has been reported that our President, the vehicle driver, and the individuals in the other vehicle involved in the accident are in good general health, with no injuries,” the statement read. The club added that Saran was already back at work, continuing his program as scheduled.
Saran took over as president of Fenerbahce in September, fulfilling a long-standing ambition to lead the historic Turkish club. His tenure has been marked by efforts to strengthen the institution both on and off the pitch. His ability to resume duties immediately after the accident reflects his determination to maintain stability and focus during a crucial period for the team.
On the field, Fenerbahce remains locked in a tight title race. The Yellow Canaries sit second in the Super Lig, trailing rivals Galatasaray by four points. However, they have played one game more, leaving little margin for error as the season approaches its final stages. The club’s pursuit of domestic success continues under Saran’s leadership, with attention firmly on closing the gap at the top of the table.
The accident in Kadikoy was a serious incident, but it did not result in lasting harm. Saran’s quick return to his responsibilities reassured supporters and reinforced his commitment to the club. For Fenerbahce, the focus now shifts back to football, where the team is battling to reclaim domestic glory. The president’s resilience mirrors the determination of the squad as they chase success in the Super Lig.
