Filmhouse Group has announced a strategic partnership with Care4Her Initiative to train 100 women in technical cinematography skills under Project Empower 2.0. The programme, which will run for five days, is designed to strengthen female participation in Nigeria’s creative industry by equipping participants with practical knowledge and exposure.

The initiative targets women aged 18 to 35 who are passionate about film and visual storytelling. Participants will undergo structured classes in videography, content creation, and camera operations. They will also receive training in on-set best practices, mentorship, and hands-on sessions aimed at building confidence and technical expertise.

Speaking on the collaboration, Filmhouse Group CEO Kene Okwuosa described the project as a milestone in the company’s commitment to gender inclusion and youth empowerment. “Beyond training, this programme creates meaningful opportunities for women to advance their skills and build sustainable careers within the entertainment industry,” he said.

Chief Marketing Officer of Filmhouse Group, Mojisola Oladapo, emphasized that the partnership reflects the company’s broader mission to create access and representation for women in film. “Project Empower 2.0 aligns strongly with our purpose to drive impact beyond the screen,” she noted.

Care4Her Initiative’s Executive Director, Oyinkansola Gbolagunte, highlighted the importance of equal opportunity in technical roles. “We believe every woman deserves the chance to thrive. This collaboration creates an inclusive space where women can gain relevant skills, confidence, and exposure needed to succeed,” she said.
