Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has told the club he will decide whether to stay beyond this season at the end of the current campaign.
Although Guardiola’s contract runs until June 2027, there are growing speculations that he could leave the club earlier.
Reports say the former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach wants to assess the team’s progress before making a final decision. He plans to review where Manchester City stands under his leadership when the season ends in May.
This evaluation will determine if the 55-year-old will continue in charge for another year.
Last season, Manchester City finished without winning any major trophy. However, they have already secured silverware this season by winning the EFL Cup, defeating Arsenal 2-0 in the final.
