Legendary Hollywood actor and martial artist Chuck Norris, born Carlos Ray Norris, has passed away at the age of 86.

According to his family, Norris died in the early hours of Friday, March 19, 2026, after being hospitalized the previous day in Kauai, Hawaii. They said he was surrounded by loved ones and “was at peace until he breathed his last,” adding that further details about his death will remain private.

Born in Ryan, Oklahoma, United States, Norris first gained fame as a martial arts champion before moving into acting. He later became a global star and a household name, especially for his lead role in the popular television series Walker, Texas Ranger.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Norris served in the United States Air Force, where he began developing his martial arts skills. He went on to achieve an outstanding record in competitions and later created his own fighting system called “Chun Kuk Do.”

Unlike many actors who focused only on movies or television, Norris succeeded in both. As he grew older, he gradually reduced his appearances on screen.

Throughout his life, Norris earned black belts in several martial arts, including Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Judo.
