Arthur Okonkwo has named Edwin van der Sar as the greatest goalkeeper of all time.
Speaking on the Wrexham Podcast, the Nigerian shot-stopper also revealed that he grew up supporting Manchester United.
When asked to choose his number one goalkeeper, he said:
“Van der Sar. I was a Man United fan. I grew up watching.”
Okonkwo currently plays for Wrexham AFC in the Championship.
He has steadily improved over the past three years, especially after leaving Arsenal in 2024 to join the Red Dragons.
The 24-year-old played a key role in helping Wrexham secure promotion from League One to the Championship.
Since then, he has remained the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, keeping ten clean sheets in 38 appearances.
