Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that she used to struggle with anger earlier in her life.
The actress made the disclosure in a video from a recent interview that has been circulating on social media.
Reflecting on her childhood, Omotola explained that the hardships her family experienced while she was growing up contributed to her aggressive attitude at the time.
According to her, the situation worsened after the death of her father, which left her feeling frustrated and angry about the challenges she and her family faced.
She said:
“I used to be very aggressive. When I was younger, I used to be very aggressive because I used to have a lot of rage.
I think from the time I lost my dad, I couldn’t blame God because I gave my life to Christ, but inside, I was looking for someone to blame.
I don’t know if I was looking for it, but I was just angry at life. Why me? Why did I deserve this?”
The actress also explained that the difficult period made her impatient and emotionally overwhelmed.
However, she noted that with time, maturity, and faith, she has been able to overcome those feelings.
“And life just went really bad for us. I was like, it’s not fair, and I just had very little patience.
But I have grown with maturity, God, and life. That part of me, has it ever come around me anymore? I’ve had it come maybe once in a blue moon, and I hate the feeling,” she added.
