American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly survived a violent attack inside the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where he is currently serving his prison sentence.
According to his close friend Charlucci Finney, Diddy woke up one night to find a knife pressed against his throat — a terrifying moment that could have turned deadly. Finney told Daily Mail that he wasn’t sure if guards intervened or if Diddy managed to fight off the attacker himself, but confirmed that it was a “very close call.”
Sources also confirmed the incident to TMZ, describing it as a targeted intimidation attempt, possibly meant to scare the rapper. Finney added that inmates with sex-related convictions are often targeted in prison, making the environment particularly dangerous for Diddy.
During Diddy’s sentencing, his lawyer, Brian Steel, mentioned the same attack, explaining that a guard stepped in before any serious harm occurred.
The 55-year-old music executive is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act — which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for illegal purposes. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Meanwhile, reports have circulated that former U.S. President Donald Trump may be considering pardoning Diddy. However, while the White House has denied the claims, TMZ maintains that its sources stand by the story.
Prison consultant Sam Mangel told TMZ Live that Diddy is expected to be transferred to a less violent facility soon but cautioned that incidents like this highlight the risks he faces behind bars.
Finney described the experience as “terrifying,” adding that Diddy’s loved ones remain deeply worried about his safety inside prison.
