The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Kabiru Turaki, on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
The meeting took place at Jonathan’s office in the Maitama district of the Federal Capital Territory.
Although details of the discussions were not officially disclosed, sources told TheCable that the talks are connected to ongoing leadership issues within the opposition party as well as broader concerns about the state of the nation.
The engagement comes amid heightened political activity within the PDP, as party leaders intensify consultations aimed at resolving internal challenges and repositioning the party ahead of future political contests.
Neither the PDP NWC nor the former president’s office has issued an official statement on the outcome of the meeting as of the time of filing this report.
