Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has criticised the spending priorities of President Bola Tinubu, contrasting the reported expenditure on the presidential aircraft with allocations to the health sector.

Obi alleged that the government spent ₦360 billion on the presidential plane while allocating ₦36 million to the Federal Ministry of Health. He argued that such spending patterns reflect misplaced priorities and have contributed to worsening conditions in the country.

Citing insecurity, hardship, and hunger, the former Anambra State governor said Nigerians are facing increasing difficulties under the current administration.

In his words:
“President Tinubu spent N360 Billion for his plane but spent N36 million for Ministry of Health. You need to vote out this government cos they’ve destroyed our country.

Today we have insecurity, suffering and hunger across Nigeria. The only thing that is working today in Nigeria is bad news. Every morning you wake up it’s bad news. We are urging you to vote for a change. We want a new Nigeria where the children will be in school, our hospitals will work…”
