Captain of Al-Nassr FC, Cristiano Ronaldo, has dismissed reports suggesting he could leave the club, stating clearly that his future remains in Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese star made this known after recent claims linked him with a possible departure at the end of the season. The speculation followed reports that he had gone on strike over what was described as a lack of ambition in the club’s transfer dealings.

Despite the rumours, Ronaldo reaffirmed his desire to continue playing in the Saudi Pro League.

His comments came shortly after he inspired Al-Nassr to a convincing 4-0 victory over Al-Hazem in a league fixture played on Saturday.

Ronaldo scored twice in the encounter, while Kingsley Coman and Ângelo Gabriel added one goal each to complete the dominant win for the hosts.

Speaking after the match, Ronaldo expressed appreciation for the country and its people.

“I belong to Saudi Arabia. I want to continue here,” Ronaldo said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“It’s a country that welcomed me, as well as my family and friends. I’m happy here and want to continue here.”
