Veteran Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has reacted strongly to a prophecy by a Nigerian cleric who claimed the singer would die on January 10, 2026.

The controversial Muslim cleric, popularly known as Alpha Olopa Meta, had earlier alleged that Osupa’s death had been revealed to him spiritually. The cleric also claimed he pleaded with God on the singer’s behalf and advised Osupa to buy a big ram for prayers to avert the prophecy.

Reacting to the claim during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, Saheed Osupa dismissed the prophecy and described the cleric as fake. He warned against anyone wishing death upon him.

“Fake alpha and prophet, please don’t wish me dead. Anyone who wishes me dead will die in my place,” Osupa said.

The Fuji legend went further to issue a strong warning to those he described as enemies, whether known or unknown.

“Close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career, and even those in my neighborhood, you better not wish me dead, or you will die before me,” he added.

Osupa’s response drew loud reactions from fans at the event, with many applauding him for boldly rejecting the prophecy and affirming his life.
