1. Rashidi Yekini – 37 Goals

Nigeria’s all-time top scorer, Yekini was a force of nature. He scored Nigeria’s first-ever World Cup goal in 1994 against Bulgaria, celebrating with an iconic roar that became a national memory. Known for his power, precision, and passion, Yekini remains the benchmark for every Super Eagles striker.

2. Victor Osimhen – 25+ Goals (Still Active)

The new generation’s hero, Osimhen’s energy, speed, and relentless hunger have made him the face of Nigerian football today. The Napoli striker is rapidly closing in on Yekini’s record and is widely tipped to become Nigeria’s greatest goal scorer of all time.

3. Segun Odegbami – 23 Goals

Nicknamed “The Mathematician” for his calculated style, Odegbami was the star of the 1970s and early ’80s. His intelligence on the ball and technical brilliance helped Nigeria win its first AFCON title in 1980, cementing his legendary status.

4. Yakubu Aiyegbeni – 21 Goals

A proven finisher with a powerful presence, Yakubu was a key figure in the 2000s. His consistency for both club and country made him one of Nigeria’s most reliable goal scorers, despite his infamous World Cup miss in 2010 that fans will never forget.

5. Ikechukwu Uche – 19 Goals

Uche combined sharp movement with composure in front of goal. Though quieter than others on this list, his contributions in AFCON qualifiers and friendlies were vital, helping Nigeria stay dominant across African football in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
