President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded 32 more ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, days after submitting an initial three names. The new list includes 15 career diplomats and 17 non-career nominees, with 10 women featured across both categories.

Prominent non-career nominees include former INEC chairman Mahmud Yakubu, former Enugu governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Lagos deputy governor Femi Pedro, former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, Reno Omokri, and former Ekiti First Lady Erelu Angela Adebayo.

Career nominees were drawn from states across the federation and are expected to be posted to strategic countries and multilateral missions after Senate confirmation.

Last week, Tinubu nominated three others—Ayodele Oke, Amin Mohammed Dalhatu, and retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are—who are being considered for postings to the UK, US, or France.

The Presidency says more nominations will follow.
