President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will commission six key projects embarked upon by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his first official visit to Lagos.
During the two-day visit, the projects to be commissioned include the Lagos Fresh Food Hub in Abijo, Ajah; Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle; and Maracana Stadium, comprising 19 mini-football pitches.
Others are the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) building, and the Lagos Multi-Agency Building in Alausa.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos, the State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, said the President will commission the projects on Wednesday and Thursday.
“The presence of Mr President in Lagos on this auspicious occasion further reinforces the strong partnership between the Federal Government and Lagos State.
“We are confident that these projects will not only serve the immediate needs of our people but also stand as enduring legacies for generations to come. All the iconic projects represent progress in action and hope for a better future,” Omotoso stated.
He further added, “As we prepare for this historic visit, we assure residents of Lagos that all arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth, secure, and successful event.
“We urge the public to cooperate with the authorities, especially in areas where there may be temporary traffic adjustments or security protocols.”
The projects will be fully operational after the commissioning ceremony.
