Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has opened up about how constant touring has taken a toll on his personal life, especially his romantic relationships.
In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Ruger said that life on the road has made it difficult to maintain a love life. He also joked that things got even more complicated after he rebranded his look by going back to black hair and a low-cut hairstyle, which, according to him, made him even more attractive to women.
“Being on the road has really affected my love life. It became worse after I went back to my black hair and lowcut coz these girls have been over rushing me. But deep down, I really wanna settle down soon,” he wrote.
Ruger also revealed that touring has strained his relationship with his family. He said he hardly gets to see them because of how often he travels for shows.
“I hardly even see my family coz trust me, I’m the most booked artist in this country. People want to see me on stage around the world. They want that Ruger sauce every month,” he added.
His post has sparked a mix of reactions online, with many fans showing support while others encouraged him to take time for himself and his loved ones.
