Victor Wembanyama delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, scoring 41 points and grabbing 18 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 127–113 victory over the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. The rookie matched his season-high in points, achieved just two days earlier against the Chicago Bulls, and became the first Spur to record back-to-back 40-point double-doubles.

His effort powered San Antonio to its 10th straight win, keeping the team within two games of the Oklahoma City Thunder at the top of the Western Conference. Stephon Castle and Julian Champagnie added 15 points each for the Spurs, who improved to 58–18.

The Warriors, missing key players, struggled despite seven players scoring in double figures. Nate Williams led Golden State with 18 points, one shy of his career best. The loss dropped the Warriors to 36–40, leaving them 2.5 games behind the Portland Trail Blazers in the race for ninth place in the West.

Elsewhere, the Boston Celtics overwhelmed the Miami Heat 147–129. Jaylen Brown scored 43 points, while Jayson Tatum recorded a triple-double with 25 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists. Boston shot 58.3% from the field and hit 21 three-pointers. Sam Hauser contributed 23 points. Miami’s Bam Adebayo led his team with 29 points and 10 rebounds, but the Heat have now lost eight of their last ten games, conceding at least 121 points in each defeat.

In Washington, the Philadelphia 76ers, playing without Joel Embiid, defeated the Wizards 153–131. Paul George scored 39 points, his highest in a Sixers uniform, while Tyrese Maxey added 28 and rookie VJ Edgecombe chipped in 23. Philadelphia shot a season-best 61.6% overall. Anthony Gill led the Wizards with 21 points off the bench.

The New York Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 130–119 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. OG Anunoby scored 25 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, while Mikal Bridges added 24. Karl-Anthony Towns posted a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Memphis, plagued by injuries and relying on short-term contracts, dropped its seventh game in eight outings.

Atlanta continued its surge with a 130–101 rout of Orlando. Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 32 points, and Jalen Johnson nearly had a triple-double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists. The Hawks have now won 18 of 21 games since the All-Star break. Orlando, meanwhile, has lost eight of its last ten.

In Salt Lake City, Jamal Murray tied his career high with 10 three-pointers and scored 37 points as Denver beat Utah 130–117. Nikola Jokic added another triple-double with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists, marking the 196th of his career. The Nuggets extended their winning streak to seven games. Utah’s Brice Sensabaugh scored 28 points, but the Jazz dropped their seventh straight.

The Indiana Pacers rolled past the Chicago Bulls 145–126, sweeping the season series. Pascal Siakam scored 25 points, while rookie Ethan Thompson had a career-high 24. Chicago trailed by as many as 28 points and lost its fifth straight game.

Houston extended its winning streak to four with a 119–113 victory over Milwaukee. Reed Sheppard hit nine three-pointers en route to 27 points, while Alperen Sengun added 25. The Bucks, missing their top six scorers, fought hard as Ousmane Dieng scored 36 points with 10 assists, but Houston held on late.

Finally, Sacramento defeated Toronto 123–115. DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points, including 26 in the second half, moving past Dominique Wilkins into 17th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Precious Achiuwa matched DeRozan’s 28 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. RJ Barrett and Collin Murray-Boyles each scored 20 for the Raptors, who lost their second straight.

Across the league, the night showcased standout performances, record-setting feats, and playoff implications. Wembanyama’s brilliance highlighted the Spurs’ rise, while stars like Brown, Tatum, George, and Murray delivered statement games. With the postseason approaching, momentum is shifting quickly, and teams are battling for position in both conferences.
