Women Cheat More, They Are More Discreet – Toke Makinwa

Nigerian media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has shared her views on infidelity, claiming that women cheat more than men but are better at hiding it.

She made the remarks during a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, where she discussed cheating, relationships and changing perspectives as people grow older.

According to Makinwa, cheating is easier for women than for men because women are often the ones being pursued, while men usually have to invest time, effort and money to cheat. She said this realisation has influenced how she views infidelity in relationships.

She explained that cheating is not a complete dealbreaker for her, stressing that her stance is often misunderstood.

“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me, but it comes with a caveat. When I say it, some people think I’m encouraging cheating. No,” she said.

Makinwa noted that society often treats men as if they are the only ones capable of cheating, which she believes is not true.

“As I got older, I realised that it’s not just men who cheat. Why do we make men feel so special, like they’re the only ones who can cheat?” she asked.

She went on to explain that women generally find it easier to cheat because opportunities often come to them.

“Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It’s even easier for us. Men will spend money, effort and time to cheat, but women are usually the ones receiving,” she said.

Makinwa added that a woman choosing not to cheat is often a matter of self-control rather than lack of opportunity.

“A woman not cheating is not because she can’t cheat. It’s probably because she has something you lack, and that thing is strength,” she stated.

She concluded by saying that while women may cheat more, they are usually more discreet about it.

“Women cheat more, but they know how to hide it,” she said.
