The Nigeria Police Force has arrested and detained singer Rolex Dee for allegedly defaming and cyberbullying Taye Currency during an appearance on the Agbaletu program.

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed the development while reacting to viral claims that the singer was unlawfully arrested.

In a statement shared on X, the police described the reports as misleading, explaining that officers tracked Rolex Dee to Lagos following a petition filed by Taye Currency.

According to the police, Rolex Dee was accused of making defamatory statements, engaging in cyberbullying, and issuing threats to life across multiple social media platforms after his interview on Agbaletu gained widespread attention online.

“The Suspect Was Alleged To Have Made Defamatory Utterances During A Public Programme Known As Agbaletu, Which Subsequently Gained Widespread Circulation Online, Thereby Aggravating The Impact Of The Alleged Misconduct,” The Command Stated.
