Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Ondo State have arrested two suspected interstate robbers linked to car theft across the country.

The suspects, identified as ThankGod Unchenna, 25, and Adewole Muyedeen, 53, were intercepted while driving a vehicle reportedly stolen from Lagos and being transported to Abuja.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh, the arrest was made possible through intelligence gathering and the use of technology-driven strategies.

Reports revealed that ThankGod Unchenna attempted to escape arrest by jumping into the Ogbese River. However, police operatives pursued him into the water and successfully apprehended him.

The command disclosed that it had earlier received intelligence on April 30 about a silver Hyundai vehicle stolen in Lagos being moved towards Abuja by suspected criminals.
