Afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about his family’s love for music, revealing that his five-year-old daughter, Adejare Kosoko, is already showing signs of becoming a musician.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Great Day 20 podcast, the singer said he has noticed his daughter’s growing interest in music and believes she could follow in the footsteps of her parents in the future.
Adekunle Gold explained that it feels special being married to fellow singer Simi, while also watching their daughter develop a passion for music at a young age.
“It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he revealed.
The singer also used the interview to dismiss rumours claiming that he and Simi recently welcomed twins.
According to him, the reports circulating online were false, clarifying that the couple welcomed a baby boy instead.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he said.
Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.
