Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy is set to feature on the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Colombian pop star Shakira.
The official World Cup anthem is titled “Dai Dai” and is expected to be released on Thursday, May 14.
This will make it the second consecutive FIFA World Cup anthem to feature a Nigerian artiste.
Recall that Davido featured on the official song for the 2022 FIFA World Cup titled Hayya Hayya (Better Together).
Announcing the collaboration on social media, Shakira shared her excitement about the project.
“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,” she wrote.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The tournament is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
