Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed why he allegedly turned down a $1 million offer to join Mavin Records.
The rapper shared the revelation in a short post on his official X account.
According to Blaqbonez, one of the main reasons he rejected the deal was because he does not enjoy being constantly active on social media or frequently interacting with fans online, which he believes may not fit the expectations of a major record label.
He wrote, “Need to get this off my chest before chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos i don’t really like posting, I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious.”
The statement quickly sparked reactions online, with fans discussing his personality, social media presence, and his decision to remain independent rather than signing with the label.
