The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the Best XI of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with Nigeria’s Super Falcons claiming top honours after a dominant tournament performance.
Four Nigerian stars made the prestigious list, including standout goalkeeper Chiamaka Ndozie, who was instrumental between the sticks throughout the competition. She is joined in the team by defenders Michelle Alozie, forward Rasheedat Ajibade, and Esther Okoronkwo who led Nigeria’s attack with flair and clinical finishing.
South Africa also had a strong showing with three players — Bambanani Mbane Karabo Dlamini, and midfield maestro Refiloe Jane — making the cut, while Ghana and Morocco contributed two players each.
