The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of the notorious Lakurawa group and recovered 10 out of 68 cows rustled from Sogirma community in Bunza Local Government Area.

The suspect, Salihu Umar, from Dogon Dutse in Niger Republic, was arrested on Tuesday at the Bachaka cattle market, where he allegedly attempted to sell the stolen cows.

Police confirmed that the cows belong to Usman Aliyu, a resident of Zogirma town in Bunza. Investigations are ongoing to recover the remaining cattle and track other members of the gang
