Former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has denied reports circulating online that he has submitted a letter of intent to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Thursday, Kwankwaso described the claims as false and misleading, stressing that he has not made any move to formally align with the APC.
“We have been alerted to some online statements suggesting that we have submitted a letter of intent to join a political party in the country. We would like to clarify that we have not made any such submission to any party,” Kwankwaso stated.
He urged the public to disregard the speculation and rely only on his official communication channels for updates on his political decisions.
“The public is therefore advised to stay informed of any further information regarding our matter through the established official channels,” he added.
Kwankwaso’s clarification comes amid reports of ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with several politicians rumored to be considering defections to the APC.
