American rapper Kiari Cephus, popularly known as Offset, has spoken out for the first time about the long-running rumours that he had an affair with fellow rapper Saweetie.
During a recent podcast interview with actress and singer Keke Palmer, Offset dismissed the claims as “weird and baseless,” stating that nothing ever happened between them.
“That whole Saweetie thing was just weird. People just made up stories. It was strange and unnecessary,” he said.
The former Migos member also opened up about his failed marriage to Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B, admitting that his own actions were to blame for their split.
“I messed up, and it cost me my marriage,” he confessed, explaining that infidelity and poor choices negatively affected their relationship.
Despite their separation, Offset expressed deep respect for Cardi B, whom he fondly referred to as “bro.” He also clarified that their divorce has not been finalized.
Speaking further, Offset reflected on his emotional struggles after losing his cousin and Migos bandmate, Takeoff, who was shot and killed in 2022.
He revealed that the tragedy, along with his marital challenges, pushed him to seek healing through therapy and faith.
“I’m focused on becoming a better man now,” Offset said, adding that he’s determined to live a more disciplined and peaceful life.
