Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some of his colleagues in the music industry are envious of his success.

Speaking on the Toronto Ada’s Room podcast, Odumodublvck said the claim that he isn’t a good rapper comes from jealousy. He argued that, despite such criticism, he has achieved more international recognition than any other Nigerian rapper.

“In Nigeria, they say that my rap is not good, but I’m the most featured rapper by international artists,” he said. “I think it’s a thing of envy because I sing my hooks, my songs are hits, and I get more bookings than them.”

The *Pity This Boy* crooner added that the envy stems from his versatility, as he can both rap and sing.

“The envy is deep, especially when they think they are better. But we pay no mind to that. We just keep pushing for those who believe. It’s unfortunate for people on the other side because this thing is not going to stop soon,” he added.
