Despite the dominant performance, Nigeria’s qualification hopes were dashed as South Africa defeated Rwanda 3-0 to secure the top spot in the group and a place at the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The Super Eagles, second in the group, now shift focus to future competitions with the eagles eyeing a spot at the finals via playoffs.
